Island Rent Car Tahiti
To ensure a clear and straightforward rental process, the following provisions apply:
– No security deposit is required for the vehicle rental.
– Each rental includes mandatory civil liability insurance.
Franchise
The amount of the deductible depends on the insurance plan chosen:
– In basic insurance (Civil Liability only), the deductible applicable in the event of an at-fault claim is 190,000 XPF.
– If you subscribe to a deductible reduction option (SCDW, SCDW+ or Premium), the deductible amount is reduced in accordance with the conditions specified in the quote or contract.
Full details of coverage and exclusions are included in the rental agreement.
Return of the vehicle
The vehicle must be returned:
– With the same fuel level as at the start
- Own
– Without further damage
– In perfect working condition
– Strictly non-smoking
Any return that does not conform to the contract may result in additional charges, including cleaning charges if necessary.
Delivery
Delivery is free in the airport area (Faa'a).
Any request outside this area may be subject to specific pricing.
Cancelation
Any cancellation must be reported at least 48 hours before the scheduled date.
Failure to comply with this deadline may result in a charge for one day's rental of the reserved vehicle.

All our rentals automatically include Civil Liability (RC) insurance , in accordance with the regulations in force in French Polynesia.
Even without subscribing to an additional option, the tenant benefits from basic coverage including:
Bodily injury caused to third parties
Material damage caused to third parties
However, any damage to the rented vehicle remains the responsibility of the renter. In the event of an accident where the renter is at fault or partially at fault, a deductible of 190,000 CFP francs applies.
Additional options (SCDW, SCDW+, Premium) are offered to reduce or eliminate this deductible and increase the level of protection according to your needs.

Article – Vehicle usage scope
Vehicles rented by Island Rent Car Tahiti are authorized exclusively to circulate on the island of Tahiti & Moorea
Any sea crossing to another island is strictly prohibited, except with prior written agreement from the agency.
Failure to comply with this provision:
• The insurance guarantees become immediately null and void.
• The lessee will be fully responsible for all damages, towing costs, downtime, loss of business and any other losses incurred.

Because we are a local company, we offer preferential rates to residents of French Polynesia, upon presentation of proof of residence and a valid permit.

Long Lasting Formula
Island Rent Car Tahiti offers Long Term rates for medium and long term rentals.
The longer the rental period, the more the daily rate can be adjusted.
– From 10 days onwards: discount applicable
– From 20 days onwards: enhanced discount
Discounts apply only to the base price of the vehicle (excluding insurance and options).
A personalized quote is drawn up based on the length of your stay in order to offer you the most suitable solution.
